Forge manufacturers: what will be looked for in the forging process?
Forging manufacturer: forging is a part used in many mechanical equipment, and sometimes its absence can affect the normal operation of the whole machine. So what do forging manufacturers pay more attention to in the forging process?
First of all, forging manufacturers will pay more attention to the forging specifications, because different mechanical equipment to match the type of forging is not the same, only matching to play a corresponding role. At the same time, to pay attention to the forging production process of each production process and process, not only to improve product quality, but also to significantly improve the forging production efficiency.
Forging manufacturer: In forging products, large forgings are generally parts processed by certain pressure, which are indispensable for some mechanical equipment and have a direct impact on the operation of the machine. So the production should be strictly supervised.
In the production of large forgings, some small details should not be ignored. For example, if there is a size error, it will cause the failure of the whole machinery and equipment, which will cause great difficulties for us in the future. And large forgings basically meet the requirements of some mechanical equipment. We have certain standards in the process of forging large forgings. Only the combination of forging large forgings and mechanical equipment can produce finished products.
Forging manufacturer: forgings are generally subject to thermal radiation and convection when heated in a heating furnace. After the surface of the metal is heated, the entire forging is heated by heat conduction within the metal. This thermal conductivity is called the coefficient of thermal conductivity and is usually expressed in terms of thermal conductivity. The thermal conductivity of a forging depends on its chemical composition, the heating temperature and the heating method. Generally speaking, the higher the carbon content of carbon steel, the worse the thermal conductivity, and the higher the alloy element content of alloy steel, the worse the thermal conductivity. The thermal conductivity of various carbon steels decreases as the temperature rises to 800-850°C, and only slightly increases after this temperature. The thermal conductivity of ordinary alloy steel increases with temperature, while the thermal conductivity of chromium-nickel high-alloy steel increases significantly with temperature. The thermal conductivity of billets is better than that of ingots, annealed steel is better than quenched steel, non-ferrous metals and alloys are better than steel, and thermal conductivity increases with increasing temperature. The heating of the billet (forging raw material) is an important and indispensable part of the whole forging process, which directly affects the improvement of forging productivity, the guarantee of forging quality, the saving of energy consumption and the reduction of product cost.
