Aircraft forgings: Approximately 85% of aircraft components by weight are forgings. Turbine disks, rear journals (hollow shafts), blades, wing beams, fuselage ribs, wheel brackets and landing gear inner and outer barrels are all important forgings related to aircraft safety. Aircraft forgings are made from high strength, wear and corrosion resistant aluminium alloys, titanium alloys, nickel based alloys and a number of other precious metal materials that can be made by companies. In order to save construction materials and energy, aircraft forgings are mostly produced using die forging or multi-directional die forging presses. By weight, 71.9% of forgings are used in the automotive market. Automotive general-purpose forgings consist of 15 parts such as body, box, engine, front axle, rear axle, frame, gearbox, drive shaft and steering system, which have the characteristics of complex shape, light weight and poor working conditions.
